Healthy Chocolate Raspberry Mousse Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 tsp Green Pasture Fermented Cod Liver Oil & Concentrated Butter Oil Blend Chocolate Flavor
  • 1 tsp organic cocoa powder or cacao powder
  • 2 1/2 tbsp raw honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp grass-fed heavy cream or coconut cream (Optional, but recommended for extra richness and texture)
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of high-quality mineral salt
  • 1/2 cup fresh organic raspberries

Instructions

  1. Soften the Blend: The Fermented Cod Liver Oil & Concentrated Butter Oil Blend is a gel that may solidify in cool temperatures. If yours is solid, soften the 2 teaspoons of the chocolate blend by leaving it out at room temperature for a few hours. (do not heat!)
  2. Prepare the Base: Scoop the flesh of the ripe avocado into a blender, mixer, or food processor.
  3. Combine: Add the softened chocolate blend, cocoa (or cacao) powder, honey (or maple syrup), heavy cream (or coconut cream), vanilla extract, and salt to the avocado in the blender or mixer.
  4. Blend: Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. You may need to scrape down the sides of the blender or bowl once or twice to ensure no avocado lumps remain.
  5. Add the Berries: Now add the raspberries and blend or mix until smooth and creamy. 
  6. Taste and Tweak: Give it a quick taste test. If you prefer a sweeter mousse, add a little more honey or maple syrup. If you want a deeper chocolate punch, you can add another teaspoon of regular organic cocoa or cacao powder here.
